A welcoming, two-form entry school in Wythenshawe is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. The school provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and the wider school team, providing high-quality support across the classroom and taking responsibility for delivering learning activities and lessons when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
- Leading whole-classes for PPA Cover
- Delivering lessons and activities in the absence of the class teacher where required
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
- Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Assisting with lesson planning, preparation and classroom organisation
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers
- Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships

The Successful Applicant Will
- Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification or HLTA status
- Have previous experience working within a school setting
- Be confident delivering lessons and leading groups of pupils
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Have a patient, positive and nurturing approach
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Be reliable, proactive and adaptable
- Have the right to work in the UK and full-time availability
