HNW Tax & Trusts Associate Solicitor

Are you a Tax & Trusts Solicitor looking to take your career to the next level?
A leading national law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Tax & Trusts Associate Solicitor to join its growing and highly regarded team in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented private client lawyer to work alongside leading specialists, advising a sophisticated client base of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families on complex tax, trusts and estate planning matters.
The Role
You will work on a varied and high-quality caseload, advising HNW and UHNW clients on a broad range of private wealth matters, including:
- Trust creation, administration and restructuring.
- Inheritance Tax and estate planning.
- Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax considerations.
- Lifetime gifting and succession planning.
- Trust and estate taxation.
- Family wealth structuring.
- Business succession and shareholder planning.
- Agricultural and business property relief.
- Wills and wider estate planning.
- Complex estates and tax-driven structures.
- Advising trustees, beneficiaries and family offices.
- Cross-border and international tax issues where appropriate.

You will work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers, giving you excellent exposure to complex matters and sophisticated clients.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience as a Tax, Trusts or Private Client Solicitor.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax and trusts.
- Experience advising HNW/UHNW individuals and families.
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills.
- Strong client management and communication abilities.
- A commercial, solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to manage your own caseload while working collaboratively as part of a wider team.
- Ambition to develop your career within a leading national practice.
Experience with complex estates, family investment structures, business owners or international clients would be advantageous.
