Package Description

Erskine Stewart Melville are currently recruiting for a Hockey Assistant to join the ESM PE and Sport department on a temporary basis until March 2027. The role is term time only, working 30 hours a week, with a salary of £18 per hour.

Duties

The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Hockey in delivering a high-quality hockey programme across the Junior and Senior School and will include such duties as:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of hockey training sessions for pupils across the Junior and Senior School.
  • Support the administration and organisation of hockey fixtures.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Hockey, PE and Sport department staff and wider school community.

The successful candidate must have experience coaching hockey with young people, the ability to work effectively as part of a team and strong organisational and administrative skills. Experience working within a school sports environment and a relevant hockey coaching qualification is desired. To learn more about this role, please access the job description provided.

Eligibility

ESM is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
