Our Lindum Plant team offers a diverse range of services to support the business and our many external clients. The team are able to provide machinery/plant hire, tool hire, temporary accommodation hire, civils contracting services, transport on our fleet of lorries, stone in our tippers, crane lorry lifting operations, as well as fleet vehicle maintenance.
We're looking for a Holiday Relief HGV Driver to join our friendly team in the Plant Hire and Transport division based at Lindum Business Park, North Hykeham. The main purpose of the role will be to drive and operate a wide range of HGV’s on an as required basis. This will include Plant and equipment deliveries.

The role will require travel primarily to Lincolnshire, Humberside, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire plus surrounding counties.
Main purpose of the role:
- Responsible for a variety of driver / driving roles: Artic low loader, Bulk aggregate tipping, Rigid Plant lorry driving and machinery deliveries.
- Driving articulated and Rigid HGV vehicles including tippers and Hiab.
- Maintaining personal tachograph records.
- Carrying out daily defect checks.
- Plant and equipment deliveries around the county.
- Cabin moves / installation. Driving and operation of Crane lorry.
- Moving from vehicle to vehicle. As required.
- Maintain effective communication with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Reporting to our Transport Manager, you will have a key relationship with our Hire Manager and Coordinators. A full class 1 HGV licence is a must have along with an up to date Driver CPC qualification.
