About the Role
Lunchtime to teatime
Lunch, afternoon medication, a cup of tea and a proper chat – this round is about supporting people through the middle of their day, following the routines that matter to them.
Shifts usually run from 12pm to 5pm, covering lunchtime and the afternoon. Alongside personal care and meals, afternoon visits often include social visits, keeping people company and helping them stay connected to their community.
Daily routines are personal, and people feel more settled when it's a familiar face at the door, so we're looking for team members who can commit to regular daytime shifts. With your mornings and evenings your own, it can fit well around family life, another role or a course.
What You'd Be Doing
You’ll visit people in their own homes across Chorley, providing support that’s individual to them, their routines and what matters most in their lives. This could include washing and dressing, toileting and continence care, medication, preparing meals and helping around the home.
It’s also about promoting independence, offering choice and building trusted relationships – becoming a familiar face and making a positive difference to someone’s day.
Personal care is a real part of many visits and can feel daunting at first. You’ll receive full training and shadowing until you feel confident.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
