In the UK and Ireland, the Home Care business operates in a highly competitive and fast-moving environment, with a specific supply chain and third-party manufacturing network that requires effective local R&D partnership and technical stewardship.

The role holder is responsible for delivering the local R&D elements of the Home Care portfolio and programme for the UK and Irish markets. • Develop and deliver customer and consumer-facing technical communication, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and support for PR or media activities where required.
  • Work closely with R&D, Regulatory, Legal, and Brand teams to provide expert input on claims, communication strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure robust technical claim substantiation dossiers and supporting documentation to ensure external brand communications are appropriately evidenced.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever Tackling This?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.

What Can I Do?

If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts, or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.

Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financially impacted by recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
