Supervisor – Waterford

Right at Home is seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of high-quality home care services across the CHO5 Waterford area.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong experience in home care, health or social care who enjoys supporting care teams, maintaining high standards and building strong relationships with clients, families and colleagues.

The Role

As Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring clients receive safe, consistent and high-quality care while supporting our care staff in the community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day delivery of care services across Waterford
  • Providing ongoing support, guidance and mentoring to carers
  • Completing client assessments and care reviews
  • Carrying out carer spot checks and competency reviews
  • Completing risk assessments and supporting the development of appropriate care plans
  • Monitoring the quality and consistency of care being delivered
  • Supporting carers with performance, training and development needs
  • Building positive relationships with clients, families and care staff
  • Identifying and escalating safeguarding, quality or service concerns appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Working closely with the office, coordination, quality and operations teams
  • Supporting compliance with HSE requirements, company policies and relevant regulatory standards
  • Travelling throughout the Waterford area to meet clients and care staff as required

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3–5 years’ experience within home care, healthcare or social care, ideally with supervisory responsibilities
  • Minimum Level 6 qualification or above in Health, Social Care, Management or a related discipline
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Experience supporting, coaching or mentoring care staff
  • Experience carrying out client assessments, reviews, spot checks or quality audits
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding, risk management and quality standards within care services
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Confidence working independently in the community while remaining part of a wider team
  • Strong IT and administrative skills
  • A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Full right to work in Ireland

Experience working within HSE-funded home support services and knowledge of relevant HSE and HIQA standards would be a strong advantage.
