Description
Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Fixed Term for 12 Months
The Integrated Crisis Response Service (ICRS) and Reablement Provider Service provides support to people at home, helping them remain independent, avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions whilst also supporting timely hospital discharges. Both services are registered with the Care Quality Commission and are rated as being “Outstanding.” We are now seeking two dynamic Seniors who will work out-of-hours to further strengthen our award-winning services.
ICRS provides critical care and support within two hours for people experiencing a social care crisis within their own home. Working alongside health professionals, the service delivers a rapid intervention to help avoid hospital admissions and emergency residential placements by working alongside its key partners.
The Reablement Provider Service delivers short-term, strength-based support focused on rehabilitation and recovery within the person’s own home. Reablement supports people to regain confidence, rebuild daily living skills and maximise their independence following illness, injury or a change in circumstances. Working with people in their own home, the service enables people to achieve outcomes that matter to them and reduces longer-term reliance on care and support.
As an ICRS/Reablement Senior Officer, you will play a key leadership role across both services, ensuring effective operational delivery, maintaining high standards of practice and supporting positive outcomes for all its Leicester residents. The role also includes line management responsibilities, supervision and support to all staff across both services during out-of-hours and weekend operations.
Therefore, this role requires regular evening, weekend and out-of-hours working. Successful applicants must be able to work the full range of shifts required within the set rota. These working arrangements are an essential requirement of the post and are as follows;
Week 1
- Mon: 2pm-10pm
- Tue: 2pm-10pm
- Wed: 8am-4pm
- Thu: 8am-3.30pm
- Fri: 8am-3.30pm

What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a pivotal leadership role across our award-winning Integrated Crisis Response Service (ICRS) and Reablement Service, helping people receive the right support at the right time to remain independent in their own homes. Leading operational delivery across both services, you'll oversee referrals, manage service capacity and co-ordinate timely interventions for residents experiencing a social care crisis or requiring reablement support.
Working at the heart of a fast-paced and collaborative service, you'll lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team of health and social care professionals. Through coaching, supervision and performance support, you'll help create a positive culture where people can thrive, continuously improve and deliver outstanding outcomes for Leicester residents.
You'll build strong relationships with Adult Social Care colleagues, NHS partners and wider stakeholders, working together to overcome barriers, support timely hospital discharges and ensure seamless, person-centred care. Using your professional judgement and leadership skills, you'll make key operational decisions, champion strength-based practice and ensure robust support plans are in place that help people regain confidence, maximise independence and achieve what matters most to them.
As a senior operational leader, you'll also provide oversight of Care Act Assessments, ensuring high standards of practice, compliance and quality are maintained across the service. As part of our 24/7 provision, you'll take the lead during evenings, weekends and out-of-hours periods, ensuring safe, responsive and effective services are available whenever people need them most.
What You'll Need
You'll be an experienced leader within health and/or social care, with a proven track record of managing services, leading teams and driving high-quality outcomes in complex environments. Whether you've worked as a senior practitioner, supervisor or manager, you'll have the confidence to make decisions, implement improvements and embed strength-based approaches that help people achieve greater independence.

We're looking for someone who can inspire and develop others, creating a positive and supportive culture where staff feel motivated to perform at their best. You'll be comfortable providing professional supervision, managing performance and ensuring high standards of practice are consistently maintained across your team.
You'll bring a strong understanding of crisis response, rehabilitation and reablement services, along with experience of working collaboratively with health and social care partners to deliver seamless, person-centred support at home. Building effective relationships, influencing others and working across organisational boundaries will come naturally to you.
A sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations is essential, as is experience of working within a regulated service environment. Above all, you'll be a confident communicator and problem-solver who can manage competing priorities, respond effectively to challenges and make sound operational decisions that deliver the best possible outcomes for the people of Leicester.
Please note you must be able to commit to working the required rota, including evenings, weekends and out-of-hours shifts. As this is an out-of-hours leadership role across our seven-day services, therefore this working pattern is a mandatory requirement.
