Role Description
This full-time, on-site Home Improvement Sales Representative role is based in Newton Abbot. The Sales Representative will meet with prospective and existing customers, either in the showroom or at their homes, to understand their needs and recommend appropriate window and conservatory solutions. The role involves coordinating with installation and customer service teams to ensure accurate orders and a smooth customer experience. The Sales Representative will also maintain product knowledge, participate in local marketing activities, and represent the company professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
- Sales, negotiation, and closing skills, ideally within home improvement, construction, or related consumer goods.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities, including confident product presentations and explanation of technical details.
- Basic numerical and computer skills for preparing quotes, managing records, and using CRM or sales tracking tools.
- Knowledge or interest in windows, conservatories, and home improvement products; ability to learn technical specifications quickly.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Comfort working on-site and visiting customer properties in the Newton Abbot area; valid driver’s license is beneficial.
- Previous experience in field sales, retail sales, or customer-facing roles is advantageous; formal sales training or certifications are a plus.
