Commissioning Home Manager

Premium Elderly Care | Brentwood, Essex

Up to £100,000 per annum + 40% Annual Bonus + Private Medical Insurance

Compass Associates are exclusively supporting the appointment of a Commissioning Home Manager for a brand-new premium 80-bed care home in Brentwood, Essex.

Due for completion in November 2026, the home will provide high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care within a purpose-built environment designed around a premium private-pay model.

The Role

The successful Home Manager will join ahead of opening, taking responsibility for building the team, establishing the culture, preparing the service for CQC registration and leading the home through its first stages of growth.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Home Manager to create a service from the ground up, with full ownership of the operational setup, team development, occupancy growth and resident experience.

As Commissioning Home Manager, you will be responsible for leading the home through the full commissioning journey, including:

  • Recruiting, developing and leading the senior team and wider workforce.
  • Establishing the culture, standards and expectations of the service from day one.
  • Preparing the home for CQC registration and ongoing inspection readiness.
  • Implementing effective governance, compliance and operational systems.
  • Driving occupancy growth through strong relationships with local professionals, communities and stakeholders.
  • Managing budgets, staffing levels and overall operational performance.
  • Delivering an exceptional resident experience aligned with a premium care environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
