Home Manager Opportunity | Thornfield Care Home, Seaton

£70,000 per annum + Annual Performance Bonus + Private Medical Insurance

We are looking for an experienced, values-led Home Manager to lead Thornfield Care Home in Seaton, on the stunning Jurassic Coast.

About the Role

Thornfield is a well-established 52-bed residential dementia care home, providing a warm, supportive and person-centred environment where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

This is an opportunity for an established care-home leader who is motivated by protecting success, maintaining high standards, and continuing to move an already well-performing service forward.

Thornfield has a strong foundation to build upon, with 90%+ occupancy, a stable and committed workforce, strong community links, and a positive reputation.

The home has a good CQC rating and is well positioned for a Home Manager who can combine excellent care leadership with strong commercial and operational awareness.

The priority is not wholesale change. It is to understand the service, build strong relationships with the existing team and community, maintain the standards already achieved, and identify opportunities for further growth and improvement.

Contract

  • £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Opportunity to earn up to 40% of salary through annual bonus
  • Pension
  • 5.6 weeks' annual leave
  • Private medical insurance

Why This Role Matters

There is a great deal at Thornfield to be proud of and build upon.

The home has a Good CQC rating, supported by a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and resident wellbeing.

The next Home Manager will inherit a settled team and an established service with a positive culture and strong foundations.

Your role will be to build on this success; maintaining high standards of care and compliance while developing the team, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and supporting further occupancy and commercial performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Through clear expectations, thoughtful coaching, and confident decision-making, you will create a culture in which high standards become part of everyday practice.

Beyond the home, you will be a trusted presence for families and build positive relationships with healthcare professionals, commissioners, regulators, and the wider Seaton community. You will also have the backing of experienced regional and central teams across Care Concern Group.
