Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Care Home Manager role based in Peterborough. The Care Home Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring safe, person-centered care and compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.

  • Leading and supporting multidisciplinary teams
  • Managing staffing levels and rotas
  • Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
  • Monitoring clinical outcomes and care plans
  • Managing budgets and resources
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, external partners, and regulatory bodies
  • Handling complaints and concerns professionally
  • Driving continuous improvement in service delivery

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in care home or healthcare management, including oversight of residential, nursing, or dementia services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop diverse teams.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks, quality standards, and safeguarding principles within the care sector.
  • Proficiency in care planning, risk assessment, and documentation, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills with residents, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in budget management, resource planning, and basic financial reporting within a care setting.
  • Relevant health or social care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in elderly and dementia care and familiarity with best practice in person-centered care is an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexibly, respond calmly to emergencies, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo all required background and reference checks.
