Home Manager Job Opportunity | Willows Care Home, 72 beds | Romford, RM7

£80K - £85K + Annual Bonus + Private Medical Insurance

Willows Care Home is looking for an experienced Home Manager who can build on an established service’s success, develop its people and maintain consistent, high-quality care. With a Good CQC rating, 98% occupancy and no reliance on agency staff, the home offers strong foundations for its next leader.

Our 72-bed home provides nursing, residential and dementia care. The current Home Manager is moving to another Care Concern Group home to lead its commissioning journey, creating an opportunity for someone who can provide continuity and take Willows forward.

With a significant refurbishment programme planned, you will manage change carefully, strengthen the leadership team and ensure residents and families continue to feel confident in their care.

Contract

  • £80,000 - £85,000 per annum
  • Opportunity to earn up to 40% of salary through an annual bonus

The Role

You will lead the day-to-day operation of Willows, maintaining care quality and commercial performance while supporting the team through the home’s next stage. Working closely with the Deputy Manager, you will recognise what works well, set clear expectations and help colleagues develop.

  • Maintain strong care standards, effective governance and compliance with CQC requirements.
  • Coach the Deputy Manager and wider team, developing capability and future leaders.
  • Lead the planned refurbishment, managing change and minimising disruption to residents.
  • Maintain high occupancy through quality care and trusted relationships with families and community partners.
  • Manage budgets and workforce planning, sustaining the home’s zero-agency workforce.
  • Build a positive team culture through visible leadership, consistent communication and support.

About You

You will be an experienced Home Manager with a record of developing motivated teams and delivering high-quality care. You will bring a sound understanding of CQC requirements and the judgement to maintain standards within a nursing, residential and dementia service.

Strong commercial awareness is essential, including occupancy, budgets and workforce planning. You will be confident leading projects and managing change, with the ability to remain calm and make considered decisions under pressure.

We are looking for an approachable, visible leader who listens, builds trust and supports colleagues to succeed. You understand the value of continuity and know how to introduce improvements while bringing the team with you.
