Home Manager Opportunity | Ashridge Court, Bexhill-on-Sea

£80,000 – £90,000 per annum + Up to 40% Annual Bonus + Private Medical Insurance

About The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Home Manager to take the lead at Ashridge Court Care Centre in Bexhill-on-Sea.

Ashridge Court is a 69-bed nursing, residential and dementia home, situated in attractive East Sussex surroundings close to the coast. The home provides residential, nursing, dementia, respite and palliative care and has an excellent 9.8/10 carehome.co.uk review score.

This is a significant leadership appointment.

We're looking for someone who can bring visibility, stability and renewed focus to the home at an important point in its journey.

Contract

  • £80,000 – £90,000 per annum
  • Opportunity to earn up to 40% of salary through annual bonus
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • Pension
  • 5.6 weeks' annual leave

Why This Role Matters

Ashridge Court has many strengths.

  • It has a strong reputation amongst residents and families, an excellent external review score and currently operates at approximately 82% occupancy.
  • The home has, however, recently undergone a CQC visit, and we are looking for a new Home Manager who can take ownership of the next phase: strengthening quality, governance, workforce performance and consistency across the service.

We're therefore not simply looking for someone who has previously held a Home Manager title.

We want someone who can walk into a home, understand quickly what is working and what isn't, establish trust with the team and turn that understanding into a clear and measurable plan.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You'll Be Doing

Your priority will be getting close to the home: Its residents, colleagues, families and performance.

From there, you'll create the structure and accountability required to deliver consistently high standards of care.

You'll lead quality and clinical governance, develop the management team, strengthen workforce stability and work with the wider business to continue growing occupancy.

With agency usage currently averaging approximately 130 hours per week, building a strong permanent workforce and reducing that reliance will be another important priority.

Just as importantly, you'll need to be visible. Ashridge Court needs a Home Manager who leads from within the home rather than from behind an office door.

What You'll Bring

  • You'll already have a strong track record managing a sizeable care home, ideally within a nursing environment, and nurse qualification would be preferred.
  • You'll understand CQC regulation thoroughly and be able to demonstrate positive inspection outcomes and/or meaningful service improvement.
  • We're particularly interested in leaders who are comfortable managing change; people who can remain calm when there is a lot to do, prioritise effectively, communicate clearly and create confidence amongst colleagues and families.
  • You'll combine a strong understanding of quality and clinical governance with commercial awareness and people leadership and be comfortable using data to understand performance and inform decision-making.
  • Above all, you'll be a visible, credible and values-driven leader who can set clear expectations, hold people accountable and bring a team with you.
