Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Winsford
Salary: £49,000-56,500 plus up to £16,000 annual bonus

Bright Selection is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to commission and lead a brand new children’s residential home supporting young people with learning disabilities.

The successful candidate will be involved in developing the service from the outset, recruiting the staff team and establishing a safe, positive and child-focused culture. Before the home opens, there will be an opportunity to shadow experienced managers and work across other local services to become familiar with the organisation’s systems and therapeutic approach.

The role will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation of the home
  • Managing safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted requirements
  • Recruiting, developing and supporting the staff team
  • Overseeing care planning, budgets, rotas and quality assurance
  • Ensuring children receive safe, consistent and personalised support
  • Working closely with regional management and other local homes

Essential requirements:

  • At least three years’ experience as a Registered Manager within children’s residential care
  • Experience managing a service rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
  • Experience supporting children with learning disabilities
  • Level 5 Leadership and Management OR Level 3/4 Children and Young People’s Workforce/Residential Childcare
  • Strong safeguarding and regulatory knowledge

The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, although flexibility is required. There is a shared local on-call rota, approximately one week in every six to eight weeks, with regional management support available.
