Role Description

The Home Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Wolverhampton. The Home Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of person-centred care, safety, and regulatory compliance.

  • Fostering positive relationships with residents, families, external partners, and regulatory bodies

The role also involves promoting a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement, ensuring the home remains a safe, welcoming, and well-run environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing or supervising within a care home, healthcare, or social care setting, with strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of care standards, regulatory requirements, and safeguarding practices, with the ability to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with residents, families, and staff.
  • Organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities, including experience with scheduling, documentation, and report writing.
  • Financial and administrative skills, such as budget oversight, resource planning, and efficient use of staffing and supplies.
  • Relevant professional qualification in health or social care (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to person-centred care, dignity, and respect, with a compassionate and inclusive approach.
  • Previous experience working with older adults or in residential care, and familiarity with UK care regulations (e.g., CQC standards) is an advantage.
