Would you like to make a meaningful difference by helping people receive high-quality end-of-life care in the comfort of their own home? We are looking for a compassionate and dependable Home Nursing Assistant to join our St Catherine’s at Home team.
You will work in patients’ homes, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, providing personal care, practical support and reassurance to patients and their families. Our Care Directorate provides services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in both community and inpatient unit settings so flexibility is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide dignified personal care and emotional support in line with individual care plans.
- Support patients to remain at home where possible and appropriate.
- Recognise and report changes in a patient’s condition or circumstances.
- Use safe moving and handling techniques and respond appropriately in urgent situations.
- Maintain accurate written and electronic care records.
- Communicate sensitively with patients, families and healthcare professionals.

About You
- Experience of working in a care environment.
- A caring, respectful and positive approach, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The resilience and flexibility to work effectively in a palliative care setting.
- A full driving licence and daily access to a car.
