Vacancy Home Ownership Officer

Salary Circa £37,237 per annum, plus car allowance £2,621 per annum
Hours Full Time, 37 hours per week
Location Maidenhead - with opportunity to balance with remote working

About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Home Ownership Officer to join our Home Ownership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key front-line role in delivering an effective home ownership service across shared ownership, leasehold, commercial rented and market rent properties.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing homeowner housing products
  • Supporting sales and resales
  • Responding to leasehold queries
  • Monitoring managing agents
  • Ensuring customers receive timely, accurate and professional advice

You will also help manage:

  • Commercial lettings
  • Rent arrears
  • Estate inspections
  • Service charge queries
  • Leaseholder consultation processes

You will work closely with colleagues, contractors, solicitors and external partners.

You will need to be confident dealing with a varied workload, able to build positive relationships and committed to delivering excellent customer service. The role will involve occasional site or home visits and some out-of-hours work where required.

About You

You will have experience of working in a property management, shared ownership, social housing or estate agency environment, with an understanding of leasehold, shared ownership and customer-focused housing services. You will be a clear and effective communicator, able to explain complex information confidently and sensitively to a range of customers and stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who is organised, solution-focused and able to prioritise a varied workload while maintaining accurate records and meeting service standards. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex property or leasehold issues professionally.

A minimum GCSE or equivalent qualification is required, along with good IT skills including Microsoft Office. A clean driving licence and access to a roadworthy car are also required, as the role involves visits to properties and estates. Experience of conveyancing processes, Section 20 consultation, right to buy or right to acquire would be advantageous.

The successful applicant will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
