Home Risk Pricing Manager

Bexhill (Hybrid) | £65,000 to 80,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

This is an excellent opportunity to join a data-driven insurance business that has invested heavily in pricing, analytics, and technology. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping risk pricing strategy for a major home insurance portfolio while leading a small team and driving commercially impactful decisions through data.

The Role

You will lead a team responsible for improving risk pricing performance across a home insurance portfolio.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing and prioritising team workloads to support profit and growth objectives.
  • Analysing policy, quote, claims, loss, and market data to identify pricing opportunities.
  • Developing new insights through the use of data, analytics, and innovative methodologies.
  • Reviewing and challenging predictive models developed by actuarial and data science teams.
  • Determining how model outputs should be combined within pricing algorithms to maximise commercial performance.
  • Identifying customer segments where pricing strategies can be enhanced.
  • Building and maintaining automated tools that generate new pricing opportunities.
  • Partnering with underwriting, actuarial, data science, data engineering, fraud, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Representing the pricing function on wider business and underwriting initiatives.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting analysts within the team.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience within insurance pricing, risk analytics, or a related commercial analytics function.
  • Knowledge of general insurance principles and risk management concepts.
  • Strong coding and analytical capability, with Python experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with large, complex datasets and derive actionable business insights.
  • Experience evaluating statistical or predictive models and translating outputs into commercial recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Curious, proactive approach with a genuine interest in driving change and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading or mentoring analysts and supporting team development.
