Annual salary of £39,822 (FTE)

Permanent role Full-time (37 hours), part-time and flexible working patterns available Based in Rochdale, hybrid working

The role

Petrus is seeking a passionate and experienced Homeless Prevention and Community Wellbeing Service Manager to lead the delivery of our diverse community services, including the Petrus Hub, PIER Community Garden, Homelessness Prevention Team, Town Centre Outreach Service and Fundraising Team.

You will provide inspirational leadership to staff and volunteers, ensuring high quality, strengths based and person-centred support that empowers people experiencing homelessness, poverty and social exclusion.

Working collaboratively with partners and stakeholders, you will drive service excellence, achieve positive outcomes and help strengthen communities across Rochdale, supporting individuals to build resilience, independence and brighter futures.

The right fit

  • Experience managing services within the homelessness, housing or local authority sector.
  • Experience of managing multiple funding streams with diverse outcomes.
  • Experience of leading and developing high performing teams to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience of delivering person centred, strengths-based services for vulnerable and complex service users.
  • Experience of partnership working with local authorities, health services, housing providers and community organisations.
  • Experience of managing service performance, budget, resources and compliance requirements.
  • Safeguarding for adults and vulnerable experience.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective problem solving, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Good IT skills.

Petrus provides support services for people facing homelessness or in housing need. We are a charitable organisation and deliver both drop in and residential services in Rochdale and Oldham.
