Fancy a job where no two days are the same?
Moving house is famously one of life's most stressful events — right up there with divorce and, apparently, public speaking. At The Homemover Specialist, we're on a mission to prove that wrong. Whether our clients are downsizing, upsizing or moving from abroad, we get under the skin of every move, championing our clients' best interests at every turn and steering them through the decisions that come with it, treating their belongings like our own along the way. And because we reckon a house move can be genuinely enjoyable, we bring warmth, energy and a healthy dose of fun to the process — turning what could be overwhelming into something closer to an adventure.
Now we need a brilliant wing-person to help us do it all.
The Role
You'll be the wing-person to our Homemover Specialists — out and about with clients across London, the Home Counties and beyond so you need to be comfortable doing lots of driving; helping them to keep things moving and making sure nothing — not a teaspoon, not a wardrobe — gets left behind or forgotten. You will be working alongside them when an extra pair of hands is needed — think unpacking days, or a declutter that's too big a job for one person, especially when it means running up and down the stairs of someone's own house all day (you'll certainly get your steps in). But you’ll also be working independently a good deal of the time too.
You're going to be taking the lead on something we care about deeply: rehoming excess items responsibly so as little as possible ends up in landfill. This isn't a side task — you'll own and grow that whole side of things across every project in the company, from building relationships with charities to finding a good home for that sofa nobody else wants.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
And owning our social channels day to day. While you're out and about, camera at the ready, you'll be capturing the photos and videos that bring our work to life on social media — then putting it all together and hitting post yourself.
Fair warning: this is a proper hands-on role. Expect plenty of time on your feet, and regular lifting and carrying of furniture and boxes — so you'll want to actually enjoy being active, not just tolerate it.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting clients through decluttering and unpacking alongside the Homemover Specialist
- Leading the rehoming of surplus items across all our projects — keeping as much as possible out of landfill via sales, donations, recycling and family — and tracking everything accurately via our bespoke system
- Building and growing our network of charities, refugee organisations and others to donate excess chattels to, and coordinating delivery and free collections
- Running errands and responding to ad hoc needs as they arise (a "typical day" is a bit of a myth here)
- Taking photos and videos out on the road with clients, then owning and posting all of our social media content — Instagram and our Marketplace sales platform included while working closely with the Marketing Manager on content ideas and campaigns
What You'll Bring
- Brilliant communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport with anyone, from a stressed-out client to a charity shop manager
- A proactive, can-do attitude — you use your initiative and roll with whatever the day throws at you
- Warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuinely positive outlook (grumpy people need not apply)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities without dropping any of them
- Discretion and confidentiality as second nature — you'll be in people's homes and privy to their lives
- A collaborative spirit — you love being part of a small, tight-knit team
- A genuine enjoyment of being active and on the go, since this role involves regular lifting and moving of household items
