The role

The University of Surrey has one Grounds person role vacant in the Horticulture & Landscaping team. A successful candidate will join an award-winning team who maintain the Campus’s with the possibility of helping on sports areas.

This role covers a wide range of horticultural and other estate management tasks. After the relevant training you will be expected to operate a wide range of landscaping equipment & machinery in order to provide high-quality, cost-effective maintenance on the University of Surrey’s estate.

  • Experience of horticulture, sports grounds maintenance and relevant NVQ or equivalent qualifications are an advantage, but not essential.
  • Full training will be provided.
  • Candidates will need to be physically fit and hold a valid UK driving licence for this role.

In addition to the salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement, membership of the Operate Pension Plan (OPP) and excellent development opportunities.
