Hospital Director | Flagship Neurological & Spinal Rehabilitation Hospital | Opening 2027

There are very few opportunities to shape a hospital from the ground up. This is one of them.

Active Neuro is preparing to launch a brand new, multi-million-pound, 52-bed specialist neurological and spinal rehabilitation hospital in Buckinghamshire that will become our flagship rehabilitation service and a national centre of excellence for complex neurorehabilitation, supporting patients from across the UK and internationally.

Due to open in Summer 2027, this state-of-the-art facility will deliver highly specialist inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation through integrated multidisciplinary teams, advanced rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based clinical pathways.

Designed around early, intensive and technology-enabled rehabilitation, the hospital will deliver more coordinated, effective and personalised care for individuals with complex neurological and spinal conditions — helping address growing demand for specialist rehabilitation and improving access to life-changing support.

We are now seeking an exceptional Hospital Director to lead this ambitious development from pre-opening through to operational excellence.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional hospital leadership role. As Hospital Director, you will lead the mobilisation and operational launch of this flagship rehabilitation service, taking full strategic and operational ownership from pre-opening through to long-term growth and success.

You will oversee the transformation of a brownfield site into a world-class neurological and spinal rehabilitation hospital, while simultaneously building the culture, operational infrastructure, clinical service model and leadership team entirely from scratch.

From regulatory registration and mobilisation through to recruitment, commissioning and service launch, you will play a defining role in creating one of the UK’s most advanced rehabilitation hospitals and shaping the future of specialist neurorehabilitation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
