The organisation is seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Leader to join its state-of-the-art cancer care centre during an exciting phase of growth and service expansion.
The centre is currently developing a new Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) department, further enhancing its ability to deliver integrated, patient-centred oncology care. This presents a unique opportunity for a strong healthcare leader to shape the future direction of the centre and support the continued growth of its services.
The Centre Leader will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day management, operational performance, and strategic direction of the centre. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while driving commercial performance, operational efficiency, and service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing overall leadership and operational management of the centre, ensuring excellence in patient care and service delivery
- Leading, motivating, and developing multidisciplinary teams across radiotherapy, diagnostics, nursing, administration, and exercise medicine
- Driving a high-performance culture through the effective use of data, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with consultants and key stakeholders to support referral growth and service expansion
- Identifying opportunities for further service development, including maximising the impact of the new SACT department
- Ensuring full compliance with governance, regulatory, and health and safety standards, including CQC requirements
- Supporting financial performance through budget management and delivery
- Championing initiatives that improve quality, culture, efficiency, and patient access
- Leading patient experience improvements through feedback analysis and ongoing service enhancement
- Collaborating with marketing and business development teams to strengthen the centre’s local profile

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven leadership experience within a healthcare environment
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and delivering against P&L targets
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving operational performance
- A background in private healthcare with a strong understanding of the healthcare market
- Experience as a CQC Registered Manager
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working closely with consultants
- A passion for delivering service excellence and improving patient outcomes
- Degree-level education alongside a relevant management qualification
- A collaborative and engaging leadership style with a strong focus on culture and people development
