Salary: £130,000 per annum + Benefits Package
Full time: 37.5 Hours

Set within a striking Grade II listed building in South West London, Priory Hospital Roehampton is the UK's leading centre for the treatment of a wide range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety disorders and addictions. As Priory's first and most recognised hospital, Roehampton has built a long-standing reputation for delivering outstanding care, innovation and clinical excellence to patients from across the UK.
We are seeking an inspirational and commercially astute Hospital Director to lead this flagship service, overseeing operational performance, clinical quality, patient experience and team engagement. This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of one of the most prestigious hospitals within Priory and play a key role in shaping its future success.
Key Responsibilities
As Hospital Director, you will be accountable for the overall leadership, operational effectiveness, and commercial performance of the hospital, ensuring the delivery of outstanding patient care whilst achieving business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership for the hospital, with full accountability for site performance, service delivery and commercial success.
- Leading, inspiring and managing the Senior Management Team (SMT) to deliver high standards across all aspects of the hospital's day-to-day operations.
- Monitoring performance against quality performance indicators (QPIs), implementing robust improvement plans and driving accountability where standards require enhancement.
- Working closely with the Managing Director to maintain oversight of clinical governance, patient safety and risk management, ensuring a strong culture of compliance and quality.
- Taking overall responsibility for achieving agreed business plan objectives, including revenue growth, EBITDA targets, occupancy levels, quality outcomes and regulatory standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Extensive senior leadership experience within the private healthcare sector, ideally in an independent hospital, mental health, acute healthcare, rehabilitation, or comparable healthcare environment.
- Proven track record of operating at Executive, Hospital Director, Managing Director, or equivalent senior leadership level, with full operational and strategic accountability.
- Significant experience in operational management, business planning, and financial leadership, including budget ownership, forecasting, and delivery of sustainable financial performance.
- Demonstrable commercial acumen with responsibility for cost control, revenue growth, service development, and achieving financial and operational objectives.
- Proven ability to lead organisational change, deliver transformation programmes, and introduce innovative solutions that enhance service delivery, patient experience, colleague engagement, and site performance.
- Successful track record of building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, commissioners, regulators, patients, and families.
