The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Key Account Manager for our Hospital Sales team, responsible for North East England. This role is predominantly customer facing, accountable for sales performance and profitability of the Hospital portfolio. The KAM is responsible for identifying business opportunities and developing and exceeding sales targets through effective execution of key account plans. This involves promoting key products and building relationships with Consultants/Registrars/Clinical Nurse Specialists/ Pharmacists and Procurement within the therapeutic area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Proven sales experience in hospitals for POM/Medical Devices.
- Experience within Urology, ENT, and Gastroenterology preferred and a proven track record of winning formularies.
- Sound key account management, planning, and development skills, along with passion and enthusiasm and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to influence and maintain relationships at all levels in the internal and external customer base.
- Highly analytical.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Able to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently.
- Computer literacy including knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
What will you be doing?
As a Key Account Manager - Hospitals, you will be responsible for a variety of different tasks including:
- Ownership and accountability of a rolling and successful business plan that is well planned and that will deliver incremental sales to achieve targets.
- Achieve sales target through clear analysis of the sales data and develop an operational plan appropriately for maximum return on investment.
- Decision making, focus on key hospital departments/Pharmacy/Procurement/Clinical Leads and Meds Management.
- Educate and train clinicians in the use and benefit of the key products.
- Work with Manager to plan and focus on target hospital accounts.
- To provide clinical advice and support to Health Care Professionals/patients and internal customers as required.
- Partner closely with the brand team, supply-chain, regulatory, quality, legal and other functional areas to develop and execute pull through sales strategies which meet and exceed defined goals.
