Introduction

We’re looking for a helpful, organised person to support daily café operations. You’ll learn to open the café, gain barista skills, serve customers, prepare food, waitress, wash dishes and keep tables clear. It’s a great first step into a hospitality career in a supportive, welcoming environment.

About The Employer

The Test of Stockbridge is a café on the bank of the River Test in the heart of Stockbridge serving local food and excellent coffee in a beautiful location.

What You'll Do

  • Support café operations by preparing food and beverages
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ensure all food and drink are made to specification, with awareness of allergens and cross‑contamination
  • Maintain cleanliness across the café, including tables, counters and equipment
  • Restock ingredients, drinks and supplies throughout the day
  • Follow food hygiene and safety procedures at all times
  • Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly
  • Assist with opening and closing duties
  • Handle payments accurately at the till
  • Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere
