We’re Looking For...
We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant to join our team at Kents Hill Park. This is a varied hospitality role where no two days are quite the same, supporting across our restaurant, bar and hospitality operations to make sure every guest receives a warm welcome and an excellent experience.
Whether you’re serving guests in the restaurant, preparing a bar for service, supporting an event or keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll play an important part in creating the great experiences Kents Hill Park is known for.
Customer Service Assistant (Zero Hours) - The Role
As a Customer Service Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the team, delivering friendly and efficient food and beverage service across Kents Hill Park.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Deliver friendly, professional and attentive customer service across the restaurant, bar and hospitality areas.
- Serve food and beverages to guests during restaurant, bar and event service.
- Support the preparation and set-up of restaurant areas, buffets, coffee stations and function rooms.
- Ensure hot and cold food counters, tables, service areas and hospitality spaces are clean, well presented and fully stocked.
- Prepare and maintain the bar to the required operational standards, ensuring products are attractively displayed and stock is rotated correctly.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of food, beverages, menus, ingredients, portion sizes and prices to confidently support and advise customers.
- Operate the till accurately, processing payments and ensuring prices and transactions are correct.
- Support stock takes, stock control and accurate recording of sales and wastage where required.
- Maintain clean, tidy and welcoming customer areas throughout service and complete clear-downs in line with cleaning schedules.
- Follow all food safety, health and safety, licensing, hygiene and security procedures at all times.
- Recognise regular customers and provide a warm, personal service wherever possible.
- Work closely with colleagues across the venue, supporting other departments when required and contributing to a positive team environment.
- Remain calm and professional during busy periods, adapting to changing priorities and guest requirements.
- Follow venue procedures and standards while using initiative to help deliver the best possible customer experience.
- Work a flexible range of shifts, including early starts, late finishes and weekends.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and genuinely enjoys making people feel welcome.
You’ll Ideally Have
- Experience in hospitality, customer service, food and beverage, events, restaurants or bars.
- A friendly, positive and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering great customer service.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and professional in a busy environment.
- Good attention to detail, particularly when handling cash, food and beverage service.
- The confidence to interact with a wide range of customers and respond positively to their needs.
- A reliable and flexible approach to work, including availability for weekends and varied shifts.
- A willingness to learn and support across different areas of the venue.
- An understanding of food safety, hygiene and health and safety requirements is desirable.
