Our work spans master planning, mixed-use developments, retail, hospitality, residential, research and science facilities, as well as civic and cultural projects. We take pride in creating designs that inspire, engage and respond thoughtfully to the unique character of the communities we serve. 10 Design is part of the 10N Collective of urbanism, architecture and related design experts, headquartered in London and working from 20 studios across five continents. Job Description
Hospitality Director
Lead the vision. Shape exceptional places. Inspire a global design team.
We are looking for an experienced Hospitality Design Director to lead the creative vision for major hotel, resort, branded residence and lifestyle projects across the UK and international markets.
This is a senior, high-profile leadership role for a design-led architect with a strong portfolio of international hospitality projects and essential Middle East experience. You’ll work within a highly creative and collaborative studio, shaping projects from ambitious masterplans and mixed-use destinations through to individual buildings.
What you’ll do
- Set and lead the creative direction for flagship hospitality and lifestyle projects worldwide.
- Develop compelling design narratives that bring together brand, guest experience, sustainability and innovation.
- Lead design discussions with high-profile clients, developers, operators, brands and consultants.
- Provide strategic oversight across major projects and key client relationships.
- Guide teams through complex projects, maintaining design quality from concept through delivery.
- Support business development, competitions and major project pursuits through your design leadership.
- Mentor senior designers and help build a strong, internationally connected hospitality design culture.
- Establish and champion high standards of design quality, innovation and best practice.

What we’re looking for
You’ll be an established design leader with:
- Significant experience in a design-led architectural practice.
- A strong portfolio of UK and international hospitality projects.
- Essential experience working on projects in the Middle East.
- Proven experience leading complex, large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong client-facing and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
- A passion for design excellence and the ability to translate vision into exceptional built outcomes.
- Experience through Technical Design and Construction stages is advantageous.
- Experience delivering smaller schemes to a high standard is also welcomed.

Qualifications
- Significant experience as a Design Director within an international architectural consultancy;
- Recognised expertise in hospitality design at a global level;
- Demonstrated leadership across hospitality led master planning, including large-scale mixed use developments;
- Strong reputation for design excellence with a portfolio of built, award-winning, or iconic projects.

Additional Information
Working Arrangements
- Right to work in the UK is required.
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 4 days per week in the London studio, requiring flexibility depending on project requirements and business needs.
- The role may involve working across multiple projects and teams.
- Other duties may be required in line with the needs of the business.
