The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and highly skilled Hospitality Head Chef to lead the culinary operations at a premier contract catering site in Central London. Operating Monday to Friday, this role offers a genuine work-life balance while keeping you at the forefront of a dynamic, high-volume operation.

You will lead a talented brigade of nine chefs alongside kitchen porter team. The culinary focus centres on exceptional consistency across set menus, bespoke dining, and refined finger food and canapé receptions for events ranging from 150 to 200 covers.

  • Salary: £55,000 base salary (Earning potential up to £65,000 with paid overtime)
  • Hours: Monday to Friday
  • Location: Central London

Volume & Style:

  • High-volume event catering (150–200 covers)

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct all daily kitchen operations, maintaining smooth service delivery across corporate dining, events, and fine hospitality.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a 9-person brigade plus Kitchen Porters, setting high standards for kitchen culture, productivity, and team growth.
  • Oversee the daily culinary operations across multiple hospitality offers, running everything smoothly from breakfast options through to high-end fine dining lunches/dinner.
  • Manage food safety, allergen control, kitchen margins, labour efficiency, and stock management to hit financial targets.
