Hospitality Head Chef - AELTC Wimbledon, London | Full-Time / Permanent

Up to £60,000 + excellent benefits including healthcare, wellbeing support, 23 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, meals on duty, and more.

We're seeking a passionate and creative Hospitality Head Chef to bring their expertise in high-end culinary operations to the talented team at Wimbledon Food & Drink - the official caterer at The All-England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), one of the world’s most prestigious sporting venues.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your high-level thinking, creative menu execution, inspirational leadership, and exceptional client relationship skills to an exciting Head Chef role at the forefront of large-scale event catering and innovation.

We're looking for a Head Chef who can push culinary boundaries, champion sustainability, and deliver the very best in modern dining to create unforgettable food experiences for guests at The Championships.

Hospitality Head Chef - The role

  • Own the culinary vision for The Championships’ Hospitality operation, creating innovative menus and standout dining concepts.
  • Lead the full culinary journey from menu development and tastings through mobilisation, live event delivery and post-event review.
  • Bring creativity to every plate, developing exciting dishes with detailed recipes, flavour profiles and compelling descriptions.
  • Champion seasonality and sustainability, working closely with purchasing to source quality, local and sustainable ingredients.
  • Use insight and data to optimise menus, sales mix, stock levels and waste across Hospitality areas.
  • Master the detail behind the scenes, creating efficient production schedules that balance quality, time, storage and cost.
  • Set and maintain exceptional standards, ensuring every kitchen has the equipment, resources and specifications needed to deliver.
  • Stay ahead of the curve, benchmarking guest feedback, food trends and industry innovation to continually evolve the offer.
  • Lead from the front during The Championships, working alongside chefs and managers to ensure flawless food quality and presentation.
  • Inspire and deliver through people, leading culinary projects, supporting teams and creating a culture of collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of high-volume event, premium hospitality, multi-outlet or large-scale catering operations
  • Strong influencing, coaching and people development skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Independent person who demonstrates initiative
  • Is excited about food and has their finger on the pulse of current trends
  • Proactive, positive individual able to quickly build partnership relationships with key stakeholders and work as a team player
  • Ability to drive through change
  • Has a commercial approach and inquisitive nature
  • Ability to influence and operate at all levels
  • Able to problem solve and make balanced business decision
