Role Description
The Hospitality Management Tutor role is a contract, on-site position based in Birmingham. The tutor will deliver engaging lessons, tutorials, and workshops in hospitality management subjects, ensuring content is clear, relevant, and aligned with curriculum standards. The tutor will offer academic support through one-to-one or small-group sessions, assist learners in developing practical hospitality skills, and collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching materials and implement best practices. The role also involves staying current with industry trends to incorporate up-to-date examples and case studies into teaching.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching or tutoring in hospitality management, hotel operations, tourism, or a closely related field.
- Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Proven ability to design lesson plans, develop instructional materials, and assess learner performance effectively.
- Relevant academic background, such as a degree or professional qualification in Hospitality Management, Business, Tourism, or a related discipline.
- Practical industry experience in hospitality or customer service environments is highly beneficial.
- Organizational skills and reliability in meeting deadlines, maintaining records, and supporting institutional policies.
- Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices and fostering a respectful learning environment.
