Hospitality General Manager

Diss, Norfolk | £38,000 negotiable + profit-related bonus | Full time, permanent

We're working with Angela's Coffee Lounge, part of John Doe, to find an experienced Hospitality General Manager to lead this busy and much-loved local business in Diss.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with strong commercial experience gained within hospitality, restaurants, food and beverage, garden centre hospitality, farm shops, hotels or another busy food-led operation.

Angela's already has a loyal customer base, a strong local reputation and a team that cares. What it needs now is someone who can bring more commercial focus, structure and consistency to the day-to-day operation, without losing the warmth that makes it what it is.

You'll have real autonomy across the whole business: people, rotas, purchasing, margins, waste, service standards and customer experience. You'll understand the numbers behind the operation, spot where things could work better and have the confidence to make those changes happen.

Just as importantly, you'll know how to bring the team with you. This is about making a good business work better, not changing everything that customers already love about it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
