Bar & Operations Manager – Sports & Events Venue

Salary: £42,000+
Location: West London

I am working with a busy, multi-purpose sports and events venue in West London is seeking an experienced Bar & Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across bar, events, and service delivery. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced environment, managing teams, driving revenue, and ensuring high standards across matchdays, corporate functions, and private events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead bar and event operations across a large, multi-use site
  • Manage, recruit, and develop bar and events teams
  • Plan rotas and optimise staffing levels
  • Drive revenue through events, activations, and quieter period initiatives
  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and cost management
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food safety standards
  • Support event planning, logistics, and delivery
  • Work closely with senior management on operational strategy

  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Proven hospitality or events operations experience
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Commercial awareness with revenue-driving mindset
  • Confident communicator with problem-solving ability
  • Solid knowledge of food & beverage operations
  • Experience in high-volume, multi-function venues
  • Competent with MS Office and POS systems
  • Personal licence holder (essential)
  • Flexible approach to evenings and weekends
