Location: London

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday

POW Food is looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant / Hospitality Manager to join our London team.
We are looking for someone with experience in a restaurant, high-end hospitality or contract catering environment, ideally someone who has worked as a Senior GA or Manager and is ready to take the next step.

This is a hands-on management role, combining people management, daily operations, rotas, food safety, health & safety and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day catering operation
  • Creating and managing staff rotas
  • Managing holidays, sickness and staff cover
  • Conducting return-to-work meetings and supporting absence management
  • Supporting recruitment, interviews, trials and onboarding
  • Training, coaching and developing the team
  • Managing performance and addressing staff issues professionally
  • Ensuring excellent service and operational standards
  • Managing food safety, HACCP, allergens and health & safety procedures
  • Carrying out daily operational and temperature checks
  • Ensuring SOPs and company procedures are followed
  • Managing deliveries, stock, waste and general organisation
  • Dealing confidently with operational issues and incidents
  • Working closely with senior management and other departments
  • Being hands-on and supporting the team during busy services

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in restaurant, hospitality or contract catering
  • Ideally a Senior GA, Assistant Manager or Restaurant Manager
  • Confident managing people
  • Comfortable dealing with sickness, holidays, performance and return-to-work procedures
  • Knowledgeable about food safety, allergens and health & safety
  • Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident handling difficult conversations and staff issues
  • Professional, approachable and a strong communicator
  • Hands-on and happy to work alongside the team
  • A natural leader who takes ownership and gets things done

Experience

Essential:

  • Hospitality, restaurant or catering experience
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Experience managing teams and rotas
  • Good understanding of food safety and health & safety
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Health & Safety training
  • Experience in high-end hospitality or contract catering
  • Experience with HR processes including absence management and return-to-work meetings

Role Description

The Hospitality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London, responsible for overseeing hospitality operations across workplace catering and events. This role includes managing front-of-house service, coordinating food and beverage delivery, and ensuring that all client-facing experiences reflect Pow Food’s nutrition-led and sustainability-focused values. The Hospitality Manager will lead and schedule hospitality teams, provide hands-on training, and maintain high standards of customer service and presentation at office sites and event venues. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with clients, resolving service issues, supervising set-up and breakdown, and working closely with kitchen and logistics teams to ensure smooth, timely execution. The role also involves monitoring service quality, implementing process improvements, and supporting the development of hospitality guidelines that promote wellbeing, safety, and consistency.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Hospitality and Food & Beverage skills, with experience in managing service in catering, events, or workplace dining environments.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build client relationships, manage expectations, and respond effectively to feedback.
  • Candidates should possess Training and team leadership skills, including the ability to coach staff, deliver service standards, and support professional development.
  • Relevant experience in catering, event management, or workplace hospitality, ideally within a sustainability- or wellbeing-focused business.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple sites, events, and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and basic health and safety practices; relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Comfort working on-site across Greater London, with flexibility to support events that may occur outside standard office hours.
