About Us
We’ve been roasting speciality coffee for over 30 years. From humble beginnings as a little coffee cart in Auckland, NZ, Allpress has evolved into a sophisticated brand that stands for flavour and service. Right from the start three core principles have formed the backbone of our business – People, Flavour and Innovation.
We are united in our genuine care for each other, our customers, and our belief in what we do. We need great people who will bring their imagination, skills and most importantly, their passion to our business.
About the Role
We're looking for a people-focused Hospitality Operations Manager to help bring consistency, energy and excellence across our café network. Working closely with our cafés, you'll support our GM’s and teams to ensure operational standards are maintained, projects are delivered successfully, and every site is set up to thrive.
This is a highly collaborative role that combines leadership support, project management and operational improvement. You'll spend time on the café floor building strong relationships with teams, identifying opportunities to improve the guest experience, supporting leadership capability, and helping bring new initiatives to life. From seasonal drinks launches and café improvement projects to leadership development and operational standards, you'll play a key role in turning ideas into action.
No two days look exactly the same. You'll work closely with our café teams and collaborate across departments to bring new initiatives to life and continuously improve the way we work. Success in this role comes from balancing agility with organisation, building strong relationships across café teams, and confidently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
