ABOUT US
Founded in 1926, Shandon Park Golf Club is one of Northern Ireland’s leading private members’ clubs, combining a proud golfing tradition with a vibrant hospitality and events operation.
Situated within a beautiful 128-acre parkland setting in leafy East Belfast, the Club provides members, guests and visitors with a high-quality golfing, dining and social experience within a friendly and welcoming environment.
As we celebrate our Centenary Year, we continue to invest in the future of the Club and are seeking an enthusiastic, professional and commercially aware Hospitality Operations Manager to lead and develop our hospitality offering.
Job Title
Hospitality Operations Manager
Reports to
The General Manager
Job Purpose
As part of the Senior Management Team, the Hospitality Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Club’s bar, restaurant and events business, ensuring consistently high standards of customer service, operational efficiency and financial performance.
The successful candidate will lead the hospitality team, manage member and guest experiences, coordinate events and functions, and work closely with the General Manager and wider team to support the ongoing development of the Club’s hospitality operation.
As the Club continues to invest in its hospitality and events offering, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to help shape the future structure and development of the hospitality team, making this an exciting opportunity for an ambitious hospitality professional seeking to make a genuine impact within a respected and progressive organisation.
CONTRACT
This is a varied and rewarding role requiring flexibility to meet the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Unlike many hospitality environments, the Club operates with relatively limited late-night trading, supporting a more sustainable work-life balance than many hotel or city-centre hospitality operations. Typical finish times are approximately 10:30pm on weekdays and 11:30pm on weekends, with occasional later finishes for major Club events.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
