Job Title: Hospitality Sales Executive

Department: Jockey Club Experiences Sales

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent role

Location: Newmarket Racecourse

Reports to: Hospitality Sales Manager

Join Jockey Club Experiences as a Hospitality Sales Executive and immerse yourself in the world of premium sports hospitality and entertainment. As a market leader in horse racing hospitality, Jockey Club Experiences creates unforgettable moments at some of the UK’s most iconic racecourses, including Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, and Newmarket.

In this role, you will play a key part in growing our client base, nurturing existing relationships, and driving the continued success of Jockey Club Experiences across our portfolio of high-profile events. You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and excellence is the standard.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Identifying and targeting new commercial customers and untapped market sectors, developing tailored outreach strategies to generate leads and secure new business.
  • Achieving business targets through proactive sales activity, including generating and attending client meetings.
  • Planning, and hosting client site visits, meetings, exhibitions, and open days to showcase services and build strong relationships.
  • Growing revenue from our existing customer base to meet and exceed targets, ensuring consistently high levels of repeat business.
  • Managing all client correspondence, handling and converting incoming enquiries through to confirmed bookings and contracted business.
  • Proactively sell to prospective customers by thoroughly researching their needs and applying effective conversion techniques to win new business for the region and wider group.
  • Producing accurate and timely weekly sales and activity reports to track performance against targets.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Proven track record of success in sales within a hospitality-focused environment.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, target-driven settings, consistently delivering against objectives.
  • Ability to use a range of desk and field-based tactics in prospecting to find new leads and contacts.
  • The skills to move your own prospects through a pipeline and close deals in a timely manner.
  • Highly results-oriented, with a strong commercial drive to win and convert new business.
  • Genuine passion for building long-term client relationships while delivering a premium customer experience.
  • Exceptional communicator, confident in influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized with a process-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, tenacious, and self-motivated, with the resilience to overcome challenges.
  • Collaborative team player who actively contributes to shared goals and collective success.
