Role Purpose
The Vocational Trainer (VT) is the face of the company for our learners, guiding them through their learning journey and supporting them in completing their apprenticeship and/or qualification in full. Working in line with the delivery model, the VT provides hands-on, one-to-one support to a caseload of learners and employers, either online or in person, embedding knowledge and assessing competence to ensure the highest quality of bespoke learning is gained. In doing so, the VT lays the groundwork for future sign-ups both from repeat business and contributions to HIT Training Ltd reputation as a training provider of choice.
Through their work, the VT positively impacts our learners' opportunities for success and advancement, as well as providing support to our employers’ businesses and contributes to the enhancement of standards and reputation of their specialist industry.

Learner and Employer Engagement and Support:
- Communicate regularly with employers to maintain their engagement with the learner's training journey.
- Manage a caseload of learners effectively, accommodating their needs.
- Engage with learners, employers, and colleagues to support positive outcomes.
- Inspire and motivate learners to achieve their best.
- Identify and offer required support to learners with learning needs.
- Deliver additional support for learning needs in line with company policies.
- Self-manage your diary for productive use of time.
- Actively contribute to the generation of new business opportunities.
- Represent HIT Training Ltd positively.
Interdepartmental Communication:
- Ensure open lines of communication between all departments involved in the learner journey.
- Communicate with required departments to ensure an excellent customer experience.
Programme Management:
- Manage the progression of learners in line with the delivery model.
- Ensure the delivery of Functional Skills, adhering to established delivery models and compliance.
- Embed Equality & Diversity and British Values.
- Meet deadlines and KPIs in a timely manner.

Personal Development
- Keep knowledge current, expand skills to support a wider range of learners, and participate in industry-related events.
- Ensure all required continuous personal development is undertaken in a timely manner.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure meticulous compliance with policies and procedures associated with Functional Skills.
- Raise safeguarding concerns via formal procedures.
- Provide feedback and reports on your caseload of learners as requested.
- Timely updating of learner management systems.
- Follow the quality assurance cycle and ensure assessment practices are applied correctly.
