OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE

We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact. As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey.

At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM

As Host, you will join the Food and Beverage team at Rosewood Hotel London. Reporting to the Outlet Manager, with a dotted reporting line to the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with restaurant associates to deliver welcoming, seamless and memorable guest experiences.

YOUR ROLE

You will create a warm and professional first impression for every guest, managing arrivals, departures and restaurant reservations while helping the team deliver exceptional service.

You will maintain accurate guest profiles and booking information through OpenTable, support daily briefings and provide clear handovers to restaurant managers and supervisors. You will also undertake cashiering and end-of-shift financial responsibilities when assigned.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Welcome guests warmly, manage seating arrangements and provide a professional first and last impression of the restaurant.
  • Manage reservations, guest profiles and table allocations accurately through OpenTable.
  • Understand guests’ needs, recommend suitable restaurant and hotel offerings and help build lasting guest relationships.
  • Respond courteously and efficiently to guest enquiries, feedback and complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-through.
  • Answer incoming calls professionally and provide accurate, up-to-date information about the restaurant, menus and hotel.
  • Support restaurant briefings, communicate reservations and special-attention guests, and provide detailed shift handovers.
  • Complete cashiering procedures, balance cash and credit card charges, and prepare required end-of-shift financial information.
  • Work flexibly with colleagues across breakfast, lunch, Afternoon Tea and dinner services to support the overall success of the restaurant.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
