Host / Hostess – Florattica Rooftop London
Overview of Role
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, confident and guest-focused Host / Hostess to join our team at Florattica Rooftop London.
As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a warm and memorable experience while ensuring the smooth management of reservations, seating and guest flow.
The Role
As a Host / Hostess at Florattica, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and greeting all guests in a warm, professional and friendly manner.
- Managing reservations and ensuring bookings are accurately organised.
- Managing the seating plan and coordinating tables according to reservations and availability.
- Escorting guests to their tables and providing a positive first impression of the venue.
- Managing guest flow efficiently during busy periods.
- Communicating waiting times and table availability clearly and professionally.
- Answering guest enquiries regarding reservations, menus, events and venue information.
- Handling telephone calls and reservation enquiries professionally.
- Working closely with the management and Front of House team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Communicating effectively with the waiting and bar teams regarding arrivals, special requests and celebrations.
- Recognising returning guests and helping to create a personalised experience.
- Handling guest requests and concerns professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional reception area.
- Supporting private events and large group bookings when required.
- Ensuring Florattica's service standards are maintained at all times.

The Candidate
We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service.
- Is warm, welcoming, confident and professional.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Has previous experience as a Host / Hostess or in a similar Front of House position, preferably within a busy restaurant, bar or hotel environment.
- Is highly organised and comfortable managing multiple reservations and guest requests.
- Is able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Has strong attention to detail and excellent presentation.
- Is confident dealing with different types of guests and an international clientele.
- Is a positive and proactive team player.
- Is flexible and available to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
- Experience with restaurant reservation systems would be an advantage.
- Demonstrates and role-models the company's core values.
- Has the right to work in the UK. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from successful candidates.
