Job Description

As a Host/Receptionist at Din Tai Fung UK, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring that their dining experience starts with a warm welcome and exceptional service. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Welcome and seat guests, setting a friendly tone and guiding them through our menu
  • Coordinate bookings and walk-ins through our CRM system, arranging seating and supporting special requests alongside our team
  • Assist with guest payments and respond to inquiries while upholding our health, safety, and cleanliness standards
  • Help buss the tables and maintain an organised venue, ensuring it’s set up for smooth service with light lifting and rearranging as needed

  • Experience in a Host/Receptionist or front-of-house role in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment, [although we are happy to train enthusiastic newcomers!]
  • A friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing outstanding guest experiences
  • The ability to stay calm, composed, and adaptable under pressure, while maintaining efficient service and ensuring smooth operations in a busy and high-energy setting
  • A keen interest in building a career in hospitality, with a strong passion for learning and developing your skills
  • Flexible availability to work full-time, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, with shifts that may run as late as 11:30 PM

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: Hourly rates start at £18 (including troncs), rising to £19:£20 once qualified
  • Working Week: 5 days per week on a rota basis, from Monday to Sunday; night shifts may run as late as 11:30 PM
  • Contracted Hours: Full-time for 40:48 hours per week
