What You'll Do
- Drive hotel growth through strategic commercial and client engagement, identifying and closing opportunities that support hotel growth goals
- Serve as an unbiased voice in client conversations, understanding client objectives and articulating how our hotel value proposition meets their specific needs
- Support key client conversations where significant opportunities exist (e.g., strategic/hotel-focused client meetings, RFPs, best and finals, renewals)
- Analyse and understand top-priority customer growth opportunities to best direct commercial efforts in support of hotel growth goals
- Be an advocate and expert for all hotel-related tools, services and third-party content partners, such as payment solutions, content opportunities, Hotel Reshop, and other hotel initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel trends and customer-related hotel needs, understanding how to position GBT advantages and addressing gaps with relevant teams
- Develop an excellent understanding of the technical elements of hotel initiatives to effectively communicate capabilities to internal teams and clients
- Manage and develop relationships with key collaborator groups across the business while maintaining a collaborative approach to drive best results
- Hold collaborators accountable to avoid or minimize client disruption or impact
- Provide feedback to product, marketing, and other teams on commercial or customer needs, partnering to ensure requirements are appropriately captured and actioned
- Serve as the voice of the client and commercial team, identifying opportunities for product and service enhancements
- Be an advocate for our third-party content partnerships; helping the commercial teams and clients understand how this content can support their hotel program. This may involve data analysis, savings metrics and recommendations.
- Support the third-party content team by collaborating with third parties on commercial opportunities. Provide feedback from the Commercial teams and Hotel Ambassadors to help deliver volume growth.

What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in Client Management, Sales, Consulting, or other commercial roles
- Interest in, or direct experience in hotel sales or consultancy; passion for driving hotel growth and delivering results at scale
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand and articulate technical product capabilities alongside commercial value propositions, with a proven track record of creating simplicity from complexity
- Strong commercial/sales attitude with proven ability to identify and close opportunities
- Ability to articulate the GBT value proposition in a way that encourages internal teams, clients, and prospects to act
- Unbiased perspective and credibility to serve as a trusted advisor in client conversations
- Agile thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity and in a fast-paced environment where change is constant
- Knowledge of common sales methodologies (e.g. Value Based Selling, Solution Selling, Fanatical Prospecting, Challenger), but more importantly apply these to a real-world-situation.
- Experience with supporting a formal sales process and tools that support it e.g. CRM, CMS, Enablement platforms
- Ability and confidence to collaborate, build relationships, and influence Senior Leaders and Business Partners
- Strategic and analytical thinking with competence in developing needs analyses
- Collaborative approach with ability to work effectively across functions and geographies
- Business Travel industry experience preferred, but not essential
