Night Receptionist (Guest Service Assistant) | ibis London Barking

Part-Time | 24 Hours per Week | £14.95 per Hour

Are you a night owl with a passion for people? At ibis London Barking, we're looking for a friendly, reliable and guest-focused Night Receptionist to join our team and help create great experiences from check-in to check-out.

As the face of the hotel overnight, you'll be there to welcome guests with a smile, ensure their comfort and wellbeing, and add a personal touch that makes every stay memorable. Whether you're assisting with late arrivals, handling guest enquiries or supporting the smooth running of the hotel, you'll play a key role in delivering the warm, relaxed service that ibis is known for.

No two nights are the same. You'll manage reception duties, answer calls, complete administrative tasks and night audits, carry out safety and security checks, and support other departments in preparing for the day ahead. From serving refreshments to helping set up breakfast, you'll be happy to get involved wherever needed.

What We're Looking For

  • A warm, approachable personality with a genuine passion for hospitality
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence using computer systems and handling administrative tasks
  • A proactive, flexible and self-motivated approach
  • Previous hospitality or customer-facing experience is preferred
  • Night shift experience is an advantage
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends
  • Must be 18 years or over due to alcohol service
