🗂 We’re Hiring: Hotel Receptionist
🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time
💼 Level: Entry-Level to Mid-Level
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to provide a welcoming experience for guests and support the smooth operation of the hotel's front desk. This role is responsible for guest check-in and check-out, reservations, inquiries, payments, and coordinating with other hotel departments to ensure excellent guest service.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide professional front-desk service.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Manage room reservations, modifications, cancellations, and booking inquiries.
- Verify guest information and maintain accurate records in the hotel's property management system.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, local attractions, transportation, and dining options.
- Respond to guest requests, questions, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Handle payments, deposits, invoices, and other front-office transactions according to hotel procedures.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, security, and management teams to resolve guest needs.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy, and room status.
- Handle telephone calls, emails, messages, and other guest communications.
- Assist with special requests, group arrivals, events, and VIP guest arrangements when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, security standards, and guest confidentiality requirements.
- Prepare shift reports and ensure accurate handover to the next team.

✅ Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception, hospitality, customer service, or a related role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented personality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling guest concerns or complaints.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) is an advantage.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage depending on the hotel's guest profile.
- Basic numerical skills for handling payments and transactions.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts where required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a hospitality team.
- Diploma or certificate in Hospitality, Tourism, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred but not always required.
