Job: Hotel Receptionist at Henrietta Hotel

Location: Covent Garden, London
Contract: Full Time Temporary - Immediate start to March 2027

Role Overview

Responsible for providing a warm welcome to guests and ensuring a smooth and efficient front desk experience throughout their stay. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while managing front office operations such as check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest requests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service

  • Welcome and assist all guests upon arrival in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage all front desk operations related to guest stays, including check-in, check-out, invoicing, reservations, and concierge services.
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel and local area.
  • Respond to guest questions and requests, offering personalised service tailored to their needs.
  • Ensure a consistently high level of customer service in line with the hotel’s quality standards.
  • In coordination with the Front Office Manager, assist in resolving guest complaints and concerns.

Front Office Operations

  • Manage front desk administrative tasks and ensure efficient departmental organisation.
  • Prepare and submit operational reports as required.
  • Participate in managing the hotel switchboard, providing information to guests and redirecting calls appropriately.
  • Assist with managing the hotel’s general mailbox by responding to or redirecting emails.
  • Ensure reception workspaces and the hotel entrance remain clean, organised, and welcoming.

Communication & Coordination

  • Maintain clear communication with other hotel departments, particularly Housekeeping and Food & Beverage, to ensure smooth guest operations.
  • Ensure effective coordination between departments to support guest satisfaction.

Safety & Security

  • Support front desk security procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests, staff, and property.
  • Monitor key inventory and ensure the safe handling of guest belongings.
