Job Opportunity: Housekeeping Position at Prince Charles Hospital
An exciting Job opportunity has arisen to join part of our busy Hotel Services Team at Prince Charles Hospital.

Role Overview
The position will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
- General cleaning of all areas of the Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
- In the event of service pressure and according to the Job Description requirements of this role, successful candidates may be required to perform catering duties.
Requirements
- Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.
- The successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.
- The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy, and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.
- The successful candidates will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset.

- This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to funding.
- In the interests of supporting NHS employees to maintain continuous employment, anyone wishing to apply for the post who is already employed within NHS may be offered the appointment as a secondment. Therefore, please seek approval from your Line Manager to be released for a secondment, before applying.
- This post is monthly paid.
- Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
