Hounslow Cricket Development Officer

Job Title: Hounslow Cricket Development Officer

Reports to: Senior Partnership Manager (Recreational Programmes)

Location: Middlesex Indoor Cricket School (Office) and various locations in/around Hounslow

Contract Term: 1 year fixed term, Full Time

Salary: £27,500.00

Working Days: Monday-Friday, 5 days per week

Background

The Hounslow Community Cricket Partnership aims to make cricket accessible for girls and boys in the borough - inspiring fun participation, building confidence and helping young people to get active. Founding partners are Middlesex in the Community (MITC), Sky, Sport Impact and Hounslow Council.

To give a brilliant first impression, there will be an innovative programme that will take the ECB’s All Stars programme into primary schools to introduce cricket to Year 1-3 girls and boys. Celebrating the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and it’s legacy, there will be a Year 4 cricket festival for girls at the QEII Sportsground in Brentford (MITC’s new home for women’s and girls’ cricket).

To encourage regular play, the partnership will ensure there are clear pathways from schools to local clubs, with information and signposts on a new dedicated Hounslow community cricket website. A new Street Cricket hub for Hounslow will be set up with Chance to Shine, offering young people a more casual opportunity to develop their cricket and life skills, for free, whilst also taking part in informal matches.

The Role

The Hounslow Cricket Development Officer will play a key role in growing and developing cricket opportunities across the community. We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a passion for community sport and the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be committed to making cricket accessible to diverse communities and using the power of sport to create positive social impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
