We're looking for industry practitioners, creators, marketers, and educators to join us as Hourly Paid Lecturers across our Content Creation & Marketing degree programmes. If you're passionate about the creative industries, know what it takes to make great work, and want to share your knowledge with the next generation of creative talent, we'd love to hear from you.

Whether your expertise is in content creation, digital marketing, social media, graphic design, web development, photography, podcasting, creative production, or campaign development, this is an opportunity to bring your professional experience into the classroom and help students turn ideas into industry-ready work.

The Opportunity

Working under the guidance of our Academic and Programme Managers, you'll deliver engaging, industry-informed learning across SAE Higher Education programmes.

  • The ability to teach across a range of modules and levels is highly desirable.
  • We're particularly interested in hearing from practitioners who can bring current industry knowledge, real-world projects, and professional networks into the student experience.

You'll help students develop not only their creative and technical skills, but also the confidence, critical thinking, and professional practice they need to build successful careers in the creative industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and facilitate the modules you are timetabled to teach, including developing and updating engaging learning resources and learning objects
  • Deliver dynamic, inclusive in-person learning using a variety of teaching and facilitation methods
  • Plan meaningful student learning experiences through effective lesson plans, projects, and course materials
  • Support project-based and practice-led learning, connecting classroom activity with current industry practice
  • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive, and developmental feedback
  • Bring current knowledge, emerging trends, tools, and professional practices from the content and marketing industries into your teaching
  • Build and maintain industry links that enhance opportunities and learning experiences for our students
  • Proactively contribute to campus events, showcases, and activities that promote SAE London and our programmes

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are doing, making, and creating in the industry today and who are excited about sharing that experience with others.

You could be an experienced educator, a freelance creative, a marketing professional, a content creator, a creative producer, a designer, a strategist, a digital specialist, or an industry leader looking to bring your expertise into Higher Education.

Essential Criteria

  • Honours degree in a relevant field or significant relevant professional/industry experience
  • PG Cert in Education and/or HEA membership
  • Demonstrable experience in Content Creation and relevant areas of Marketing, including areas such as:
    • Content strategy and creation
    • Digital and social media campaigns
    • Graphic design
    • Web development
    • Digital marketing
    • Photography
    • Podcasting
    • Creative production
  • Strong concept development, project management, and production skills
  • Ability to create and develop meaningful industry links
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands
  • Current knowledge of creative and marketing industry practices and trends
  • Right to live and work in the UK

Desirable Criteria

  • Higher Education teaching experience, particularly within creative or related disciplines
  • Experience creating session plans, learning materials, and engaging classroom experiences
  • Experience with project-based and practice-led learning
  • Experience using technology to support learning, including VLEs and other digital learning platforms
  • Experience working across multiple creative disciplines or modules
