The School of Foundation Studies is looking for an exceptional teacher with the qualities to make a difference to our learners to join their team in a teaching role.
This is a key post, which requires an understanding of Special Educational Needs.
This role would suit someone capable of creating and developing a range of learning opportunities to meet the needs of our students and the relevant awarding bodies from pre-entry to Entry level 3.
- Understanding complex learner needs and ensuring that barriers to learning are removed will be essential for this role.
- An understanding of the SEND reforms and how the Code of Practice impacts on FE courses is also important.
- Good attention to detail is important with the ability to maintain accurate records utilising the College systems.
- Experience within foundation learning would help, but if you have teaching ability and could adapt your skills, we would love to hear from you.

As part of a specialist team, you will be expected to deliver high-quality provision and personalised learning, encouraging learners to enhance their skills and achieve their full potential set out in their Educational, Health and Care Plans.
This role requires a problem-solver with high expectations of themselves and our learners. This position will suit a flexible and highly organised individual that can plan and deliver sessions that meet the needs of young people in the department.
We are looking to recruit an hourly paid lecturer to work 10 hours per week at our Watford Campus.
